A huge thank you to Saras O'Sullivan for reading the many drafts I sent. Thank you for being available at 2am to give me amazing and honest feedback. Thank you for accompanying me on Ellie and Aaron's Journey but most importantly for being my go to friend with a dirty mind.

    Chapter one

Ellie clicked send on the last email for the day and shut down her computer. She was thankful there was a bar in the building as she desperately needed a drink. She had been working at Elite, an independent communications and live events agency, for the past two years. While she loved her job, having to file paperwork after paperwork and reconciling accounts once she was back in the office after spending a month heading up a project in Macau, had simply been hell. Though it had always been that way whenever she got back from a big job she still hated that part.

There were a few stragglers still hanging around in the office so she didn't feel too bad being there at eight thirty, three hours past her usual knock off time. She looked over to a desk at the far right side of the office and sighed. Ollie had left for the bar an hour before, throwing her a wink before telling her to come find him once she was done.

Arrogant prick, she thought. Arrogant sexy annoying prick! He knew what he was doing and it wasn't fair of him to continue flirting with her. They wanted different things, and that made him off limits.

Ellie grabbed her mobile phone, keys and purse out of her bag before locking it and her coat in her desk drawer. She planned on getting very drunk and would be collecting her stuff later, something she had done many times before. After putting everything away for the weekend, she made her way down to the bar.

    *

Aaron spotted her as soon as she walked into the room. He was actually amazed that no one else had turned and openly gawked as she sashayed into the bar dressed in a sky blue blouse and a white skirt that stopped just above her knees, and was only just this side of office appropriate, not that he was complaining. The sky blue and white of her outfit showcased the amazing light brown of her skin.

She seemed to be of mixed descent and whatever the combination, he thought she was stunning. Her big hazel eyes and full, pillowy lips had him hard just by looking at them. Her dark brown hair tumbled past her shoulders and she had killer body with amazing curves he would love to spend hours exploring. When she flicked her hair back revealing the long column of her neck, Aaron bit back a groan as he pictured himself wrapping a fist full of hair around one hand as he kissed and bit his way down her neck to her breasts. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat, just imagining how her soft moans would sound as he wrapped his mouth around her nipples. For a moment he lost himself in thoughts of gripping her hips tightly as he pounded into her from behind. When something between a groan and soft growl escaped his lips he had to cough to cover the sound.

She smiled at the bartender, catching his attention, and he naturally dropped what he was doing and made his way over. Aaron huffed in annoyance. He couldn't understand why he felt so possessive over a stranger. This was the building where he worked and he was adamant he wouldn't get involved with anyone here. But from the flirtatious looks the bartender was throwing her way, he knew he had to make his move fast.

    *

Ellie headed straight to the bar and ordered a Jack Daniels and Coke, a Gin and Tonic, 2 beers and 4 shots of Sambuca. Rob, the bartender, had came back with her tray and they shared a joke as she handed over her card and asked to start a tab. As he walked away, she felt someone slide up next to her and sighed, guessing it was Ollie. Ollie, the epitome of ‘tall, dark and handsome’, he was smart, funny and just her type, yet oh so wrong for her. She wasn't ready for him, and she would never be.

I was going to ask if I could buy you a drink but it looks like you're already covered.

Ellie turned from her musings, looking to her left and up, up, up some more.

The deep, rich voice had belonged to a very tall man she had never seen before, which surprised her considering the bar was only open to those who worked in the building and she either knew or recognized everyone there.

They're not all for me but either way I'm set, thank you. She answered after taking stock of him. He must be a client. He seemed older than her but not by much. She had just turned thirty so she was guessing he was in his mid to late 30's.

His blond wavy hair was shorter on the sides and longer on top, with a few streaks of grey running through it. He had a matching blond stubbly beard, piercing blue-green eyes and a wicked panty dropping smile. He was dressed in navy jeans and a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up, displaying his strong, well defined forearms. She had to admit he filled both out nicely. The whole package screamed sexy trouble and as nice as it was, she didn't need any of that in her life.

How about you let me buy you your next drink then?

I've got that one here as well. Thanks anyway. Ellie lifted her tray off the bar and turned.

I didn't catch your name. He called out.

Ellie looked back at him and smiled. "I didn't give it. Maybe you would have gotten it if you'd asked me for it. But now, you'll never know." She teased before walking away, heading out onto the terrace and into the far corner.

Aaron laughed to himself. She was right, he hadn't asked.
