About this ebook

What is a love story without some mystery, especially one that comes out of Detroit. Death and destruction of ones heart is a sad commentary evolving a broken love affair, directed through the mind lost in the lore and beauty of Hinduism. The time element is apparent dealing with clues lost in a forty-five year time spam, piecing together a cause within the struggle of love

Darkside of Detroit is a story of love and appreciation, fragmented by a pure love in a manner quite different from your typical Romance Novels. It borderlines the Supernatural in a way that you have to question the Meditative Mind fame. Allowing the escapades of the mind to bring a wealth of reality of indifference without qualm or question to a world of possible make believe. Not with your normal scenes of Barrooms to Bedrooms but a journey into the unknown that possibly will make you question your own life.

Love in a common way comes in many flavors with adolescent, adult, and “stand by your man” concepts. Richard brings about one in formidable fashion that most everybody searches for and can never find, the Soul Mate, a bond that only comes when all of the right ingredients are presented.

In a way, it becomes a source of inspiration for those who are on a quest of finding their own Selves love. Forming a togetherness or marriage of mind and body within the classic mind frame of “Yoga”

The whole story line goes beyond the norms what is known today for Meditation practices and the Yogic mind. For it reaches into an area not found in what we call normal or modern day practices, but only within reach of the unknown. Briefly the story is really a telepathic thriller with some philosophic argument and a great twist at the end.

I am 73 years old and I consider myself to be the “Beach Philosopher” living in a beach front casita in the Mexican Caribbean, off grid, an hour north of Belize. My experiences of the mind have guided me through a Kundalini Awakening and a rather strange occurrence involving a bout with Cosmic Consciousness. I would suspect most authoritative figures of spirituality have no idea what I am talking about. I drink beer for breakfast and take listening to modern day advances in the Medical world with.a grain of salt. I see everyday ideas and activities in a different light, but I feel quite accurate in my mannerisms of Spirituality. I have a book on Amazon, “Free Without Pain”, and a website www.freewithoutpain.com. Richard (Gesu) Stanaszek

    Preface

There are many things that can happen in life; sometimes they are believable, and sometimes they are not. This is one of those stories, when you question yourself, trying to put fragments of a possible dream into reality, with a bit of fundamentalism through spirituality. All brought about through an estranged love affair and involving a possible murder, with an openness to perceive the incredible.

What is there to prevail, other than the Self~~~~~~~~~~

    Through the Darkness of Detroit

The morning was absent of any sun, allowing the day to be overcast, cloudy and dismal as I woke up, bringing about another daily cycle of questionable existence in a decaying city. Circumventing any need to question my life and its needs.

My wife, my childhood sweetheart, passed away ten years back and I was still in a rut without any light, condemning any thoughts that might be condolences from my own self.

A bizarre encounter with a latent message of love from an ex-girlfriend while she was sexually caressing and playing with herself, thinking of the good days we had, brought about the beginning of a story beyond human comprehension.

As a result I was thrown into the self-help section of the local library and slowly I was being swallowed up by my grasp of Yoga and Hinduism.

A reluctant Catholic, Hinduism brought a way of thought that swayed my imagination towards the bizarre.

My evenings of solitude while meditating brought about much color and revealed lore of an ancient past. My mind became engulfed by the Universe in all its glory, spinning and inducing my consciousness in a make-believe world. Or possibly the Wild Turkey and Coke that I drank created a whole new mystical meaning to spirituality without reward.

Over the years that I was in and out of relationships, I was not capable of accepting someone else coming into my life or my world of pain. The world as I knew it accentuated togetherness and the lack of acceptance, and it is referred to as love.

I left my last love in the midst of a daydream where everything we heard was completely different than what was actually said. We argued all the time and we broke up so many times that I lost count.

It hurt to leave, whether you call it love or just a necessity to be close to someone. It’s hard to forget the past, the scent of perfume, a wisp of hair across the face, the warmth
