A Nonsensical Christmas Story
Now, no doubt you’ve heard all the Christmas stories,
filled with the holiday spirit, in all its glory.
Those about Frosty, Rudolf, elves and tales told,
Of Christmases in silver and gold.
Stories of three wise men, a drummer boy, and cold,
all during nights filled with white, fluffy snow.
Good stories, mind you, but unfortunately… they’re old.
I’ve got a story that not many may know,
It’s been a secret, and until now,
never been told.
When you hear it,
you will understand my worry,
over sharing it with you,
this quite different,
and nonsensical story.
I must say, first and foremost,
that my name...
well, let’s just say… I’m a Spence.
By knowing this fact, this Christmas story,
will make a little more sense.
The story that I’m going to tell is not short,
nor, is it long.
There is no Rudolf hero,
or an abominable snowman real strong.
There is no maiden in distress,
nor bright lights or a lovely theme song.
