The Grateful Dead: A Badass Hippie Tale (Book 1 of Badass Hippie Tales)
()
About this ebook
Bridget is a harried caregiver who, up until now, has lived peacefully in her quiet hippie mountain town. When a coffin is delivered to her front door just a little too early, it unleashes an unbelievable chain of events that results in tragedy. Well, that's not what everyone thinks. The Grateful Dead combines sex, drugs, rock 'n' roll and even a little good ole’ S & M. Mix with a healthy shot of death and destruction--and bingo! Before you can say “qualudes," things have gotten seriously out of hand.
Badass Hippie Tales are a kind of rock ’n’ roll homage to the bawdy humour of Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales and Trailer Park Boys, an antidote to the smarmy feel-goodness of The Vinyl Cafe, and a one-fingered reminder to Rolling Stone magazine of gonzo journalism’s once-glorious past.
Forget the Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test and never mind those Dharma Bums. There's more mayhem in store from the Badass Bingo gang.

As a rock 'n' roll journalist for several years, I interviewed and reviewed acts like Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden, BB King, James Cotton, Supertramp, Axl Rose, Tragically Hip, Ria Mae, and many more. Somehow, the weirdness of writing concert reviews at 3 a.m. in an empty newsroom just never left me. That experience, combined with growing up in a very insular but sinful small town, and the strange events that occur during frequent travelling has left me permanently warped. My only outlet is the Badass Bingo gang, who figure prominently in the Badass Hippie Tales series. They have really got a hold on me! Brace yourselves: we’re going on a politically incorrect Magic Carpet Ride, complete with forbidden sex in an airplane which is suspended inside a Beatles-friendly ashram, a near-lethal dose of
