The girls have to come to terms with the realisation that their lives, families and the village is not what they thought it was and deal with the deception of their loved ones.

Before that, they embark on adventures that take them through dangerous snowstorms in the Scottish Highlands, across wind-swept Welsh beaches and deep in the green of England, to the mysterious island of Avalon itself.
