About this ebook

This book is Episode 2/3 of the Sculpting David, part of The David Saga. This part is told in The Blue-Eyed-Boy's voice. The Blue-Eyed-Boy shows us what he saw in this interesting character named David. Episode 2 can be read independently from the other 2 episodes. However, I do suggest they be read in order.

DISCLAIMER FROM THE AUTHOR: Episode 1 ends in a cliffhanger. This will be explained further in Episode 3. Now, although I prefer you do read all 3 of the Episodes in order, it is ok to go from Episode 1 to 3 then come back to 2. In fact, I decided to offer a split version of the book precisely for that reason. So that some of the readers can get a different experience from the book and get a new perspective on the book and characters. You can also read Episode 2 first, then jump into 1 and 3 :)

David is successful, spontaneous, and downright attractive. He somehow manages good grades and a social life aided. To those that see him, he is flawless but everyone has their faults. David’s journey through self-discovery is rocky and riddled with challenges. Heartbroken over the breakup with the love of his life, surprised with a chance to reclaim his heart, and devastated over a family tragedy, David journeys through the toughest parts of life to find himself. Told from three different perspectives, this book captures David’s development from the highest of the highs to the lowest of the lows.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the so many people who tolerated me through this book; to all those who provided support, talked things over, read, wrote, offered comments, allowed me to quote their remarks and assisted in the editing, proofreading and design.

Above all I want to thank my favorite person in the world, Andy and the rest of my family (Parents, brothers, in-laws), who supported and encouraged me in spite of all the time it took me away from them. It was a long and difficult journey for them.

I would like to thank Ranwa Obeid-Goya, Lea Kalpaklian and my monkeys (Rabih A. and Andrew A.) for supporting me through thick and thin. Ranwa is the sister I never had but will always cherish. Lea is my #1 supporter and read so many proofs, she probably knows the book better than I do! Rabih and Andrew who are the type of best friends that have never left my side even when geography tore us apart.

The need to also mention The Gang is not forgotten. This group of friends have been by my side through my hardest tribulations and happiest times. You are all incredible.

Genoveva, Erkhem, Mame-Daro, Andre, Allison, Celine and all the friends I met during my collegiate years, without you those stories would never have come to life.

Ann Robertson for professionally proof reading the book and giving editing notes. As well as Rachel Bayer for writing the marketing copy. You're both amazing :) Contact me for their info if you need good people to assist with your book!

Last and not least: Please allow me to apologize to all those who have been in my circles over the years and whose names I've failed to mention.

    Episode 2: The Blue-Eyed Boy

    How I met David

David liked to call me his blue-eyed boy. I called him ma belle surprise which is my pretty surprise in English. In fact, he was never a real surprise to me. He was someone I had longed for years before I met him. I had imagined someone like him in my life ever since I knew it was men I wanted in my life. Our first meeting was nothing less than a bump on the shoulder that I purposely orchestrated. But let’s not tell him that, shall we?

I had walked through those streets often. I had noticed this solitary man walking the whole time. He was always dressed impeccably. I remember one time when I saw him walk in front of me, and I froze. My gaze just followed him from the moment he passed in front of me and a whiff of his shower gel in the air met my nose. I just breathed it in, closed my eyes and could only think of this man that always walked past me on the street, and never seemed to notice that I even existed.

This handsome man in his many walks and many beautiful outfits…This man. THIS man. He made my knees weak, my mouth smile, and my heart halt for a split second while it was getting ready for the adrenaline rush that was sure to come. Then my heart would pump and pump and pump. My mouth would smile and smile and smile. My knees would want to buckle under this pressure from the rest of my body, but that I had to control. However, that first time he walked past me and the shower gel smell stayed in my nose for hours, I just let my knees go. It was the first time I realized what kind of effect he could have on me. I had never thought anyone could have that effect on a strong personality like mine, but when it came to him, I was beyond weak. I was lost.

That particular day, I picked myself up from the ground and went
