About this ebook
Two viewpoints, a world war, two hearts, the end of the world and the hope of a new world and a new future. A love story that almost never happened because the world was on the brink of a holocaust. This story is a tale of betrayal on many levels.
When Hatred Brews at Home is a startlingly stark and revealing drama that presents the true nature of human beings.
Are people worthy of the planet on which they live? Have centuries of civilization brought us face to face with our end? Does humanity mean what it means? Does love have the power to move across the boundaries of space and time?
Science fiction meets philosophy as the drama unfolds in a future that is not all that far from where we are. Instead of facing our feelings and fears, are we ignoring and running away from them? Estranged lovers, Ashley and Rogers, find themselves asking this question repeatedly as they go on what one of the characters describes as “the journey of a lifetime.” They are on a mission to escape the destruction of Earth, will the Eleutherians succeed in their expedition?
A voyage of discovery and diplomacy through outer space leads to a journey of self-discovery and speaking the truth. A story that will appeal to anyone who cares about the future of the next generation and the future of the Earth. In our search for extra-terrestrial intelligence, are we humans so naive that we lost sight of the humanity among ourselves?

Once upon a time, earth’s natural resources were depleted, and the gold supplies were not enough to support the economic stability of each country’s governments. This caused the world to be divided into two factions.
The first one was comprised of those who believed in a communist-type of government, they were called the Collectivists. They were led by countries such as China, Russia, and North Korea. And in return, members of the Collectivists supported the principles of their leaders.
The second faction was those who were under a democratic government, these were the Eleutherians. Countries such as South Korea, India, and Japan were on their side.
Countries all over the world were forced to join one of the two, and those who did not choose a faction were not supported nor protected during the war. As the war escalated, technology became the weapon of the two factions. However, the war caused billions of deaths, as each side used nuclear bombs and weaponry to annihilate countries who either did not choose a faction or who were in the way of conquering lands which were rich in resources.
The war was a race to build a clean civilization, to eliminate countries that would threaten their survival. There came the point that the Eleutherians were losing the war and their number had decreased at an incredible rate. Researchers researched life outside the boundaries of Earth and our galaxy. Finally, after years of research, it was confirmed that Earth was not the only planet that human beings could live on. They were capable of living on another planet as well. The name of that planet was Mecruirus, and it existed in the Bode’s galaxy. The Eleutherians were able to find other life forms outside earth too. The Milenoids, the civilization on the planet Mecruirus, were the only contact they had; the were also the key to surviving and escaping the war.
And that’s the truth behind the journey we will embark on, princess,
Ashley explained as she tucked in Kylie.
Kylie responded to the story with a yawn. She was a smart kid. Even before tonight's story, the 7-year-old has been sneaking into Ashley's desk, reading notes and books regarding her research about planet Mecruirus. Ashley watched as Kylie’s eyes fluttered, it was evident that she was sleepier now, and slowly the kid said, Tell me more tomorrow. Good night mommy,
and closed her eyes.
