Kobee the manatee and his friends set off from Florida to the Bahamas for his friend Kim's birthday. On the journey, they encounter various types of weather and events. On each page there is a "fun fact" about the weather or event. I found that sometimes they seem to distract from the story. The illustrations were beautiful and fun.

I did find some of the facts to be way above what seemed to be the target audience of the book, and I thought other facts out of place in the story (tornadoes for example). I would recommend that you read the story to the child first, then go back and go over the fun facts. There is a lot of interesting information in the story.

This would be a great book to use when teaching young children about weather and the dangers of it.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
