    BOOK 1 – A PARIS TO REMEMBER

    1. Sarah

My name is Sarah, and you could say I’m one of the luckiest girls alive. My job is a breeze, I travel the world on someone else’s dime and all I have to do is write blog posts about it. Basically, all I need in life is a backpack, a laptop and a Wi-Fi connection. This isn’t my first trip by any account either, but it is going to be my first trip beyond the borders of the United States. I first got my job through an old girlfriend, she was also a blogger and hooked me up with some people she knew who paid for writers to do cool things and document it. I had always been the kind to never want to settle in one place for too long so the business soon realized I’d be perfect for the travel blog project they had planned. As you probably expected, I left my old girlfriend behind, grateful for at least the job and the awesome sex we used to have, and raced off to have some fun, free experiences across the globe.

The job was sadly pretty boring to begin with, travelling not that far from home and reviewing places that I had already been, but a dollar is a dollar, and I wasn’t going to say no to simple work with good pay and easy hours. Recently though, the business had been talking to me about travelling further afield, which I was happy with! Immediately I began thinking of Europe, the romantic cities and beautiful women there. I had always wanted to travel around Europe as a teenager and I was hopeful that these dreams would now soon come true.

We’re thinking of sending you off to Paris for 4 days, Sarah, said my boss. Do you think you could find enough to do for that amount of time? he asked.

Yes! Of course, I could! I enthused. Paris was one of the most clichés yet also one of the most interesting places to visit and so I had loads of plans for things I could do while I was there.

The travel arrangements and my workload were agreed upon that same morning and my plane was booked for the next day. This job was fast paced and exciting, exactly what I needed, no time for a set place to live or a steady relationship, not that that was necessarily a bad thing. I didn’t mind being a bit of a free bird and floating from place to place living mostly from a suitcase. What I did mind, however, was the severe lack of action I was getting because of this. It has been hard to hit up the gay bars in town or to date girls when I travelled so much and so, as I jumped into the taxi to the airport, I made a personal deal with myself that I would get laid in Paris. It was meant to be the city of love after all…

    2. A Paris in Paris

Arriving in Paris I was immediately greeted by the new language all around me. There were, of course, many people speaking English, Japanese, Italian and other languages that my ear could not decipher, as they milled about doing their own touristy things, but it was already exciting. I had a quick scan of my surroundings too as a general barometer for the women about. I have to admit I was left slightly unimpressed from this first glimpse of Paris, but I was jetlagged and still just leaving the airport. Maybe I could have a rest at my hotel and things would begin to
