Robes covered people who were once renowned to the world. Their words sparked wars and gave birth to heroes. In this case, devastation would reign supreme shall the words bleed through the cavern walls and onto the wind.

A waterfall flowed from the sky, saturating the earth and drowning the budding flowers that had yet to spring. Dark clouds stretched above, the winds whipping around hatefully. They all feared for their souls; to anger him was to spell disaster. Only the blessing of the others protected them from his wrath. Swallowed by the golden barrier around them, they surrounded a small child of ten.

Glowing ancient symbols seared the child’s flesh, and a celestial golden light engulfed her eyes, turning her into something more.

The symbols branded her skin, the the smell of burnt flesh reaching her nose. Her gut churned as she swallowed the rising bile. Maman, told her it would hurt just this time. She said, her words carried the fate of gods. Thea didn’t know gods had fates. They were immortal. Soon, her thoughts became jumbled as foreign words in even a stranger language tumbled from her.

"When the day comes that the sun turns dark, a sister becomes a mother, two siblings shall mark the rise of a new god, and an exchange of coin shall bring about a new fury and the bloodshed of gold."

Bloodshed of gold?! That doesn’t sound good. This prophecy is only foretelling our demise! It’s foolish to go against Zadar! Azar shouted from underneath his hood. It mistake full of recklessness and peril. He would destroy them all. Azar had a family to think about. A wife swollen with babe.

Do not speak his name! The others hissed in unison as the candlelight licking at the cavern walls flickered briefly.

The prophecy speaks of a new god, someone countered from underneath the hood of their blackened robe.

After he’s taken down the others. He will be born anew! Azar said, trembling in fear. His heartbeat had become erratic and the claws of fear sank into him. Tis was foolish. How had he been roped into such a thing? Who would oppose the Tohil?!
