JUDGING THE BOXER
There is perhaps in the mind of every judge an eternal hope that, today, as he goes into the ring to judge his Boxers, he will arrive at his long-sought goal, the Perfect Dog, the kind of dog he has mentally cherished for many years; and that on this day the glory of discovery will be his!
This perfect dog would incorporate all the good features the judge had seen in great pillars of the breed, such as the revered Sigurd whose advent in America was really the true Boxer impetus in show rings on this side.

Nor should he resemble the terrier, either, in type or flat musculation, for in this event he would possess a springy movement, and he would in general evince
