The following verses from Ephesians 6 are well-worn verses. You may not even need the Bible references. You may have these verses memorized, but don’t overlook hearing them one more time.

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

There are real wiles of the devil. You have an adversary. You have an accuser. You have a tormentor. You have somebody who wants to see you destroyed. You have to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, because you have no power over spiritual things. He has the power over spiritual things. Any authority that you’ve been given to exercise -any spiritual power- is from Him and not your own. You have the ability to walk in faith, to be obedient, to stand in the midst of this battle
