    The hills were smaller than she remembered; so was the house. But the big, blue sky seemed to go on forever. Tess left her bags by the ranch house and walked to the huge, white barn. Green trim edged its perimeter, and the three Ws brand was etched above the hay loft door.

    Nestled in the prairie lands in central Texas, this place felt like Tess’s best kept adventure as a kid. With all those years behind her, she couldn’t imagine why she had such fond memories of a simple piece of land with a bunch of cows on it.
