A robot and his monosyllabic pal Bah go on an adventurous search when the robot realizes he spies only one sock and must find its match.This book is of a picture book size but paneled like a comic book, which makes it one of the most interestingly formatted book I've seen in a while. The story is silly, with little side-jokes like a reference to the story of Chicken Little.The author has worked on animated films in the past, and that shows in the style of this book, both in terms of the illustrations and the pacing. The plot is very thin and the text is pretty light as well, but I could imagine younger elementary-age kids getting a big kick out of it, even if it's not really my cup of tea personally.

So very silly. I read it to students at literacy nigh and they got a kick out of it! Who'd have thought a sock could inspire a whole book.

Beep the robot and his friend Bah the goat seek out the missing mate of a sock. Their adventure is told through colorful sequential art. The wild landscapes and personality filled animal characters create a comic set up for the talkative Beep. Young readers will enjoy this silly story and fun illustrations.
