- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Pitch and throw, Grasp and know. What is a Synonym is about describing or explaining what a synonym is in kid freely words. This book was an extreme amount of vocabulary that can be covered before reading to the students. I really liked this book because it rhymed but also explain what a synonym is. I would recommend this book to teachers for teaching the students in a way that is not just paper and pen. Yes, the students can do an activity relating to the book, but the students will be more engaged in the book then doing a paper assignment.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5GOOD book to use for learning what a synonym is.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book is part of the series by Brian Cleary dealing with the different parts of english. The silly rhymes and matching silly words are great for helping kids get interested in this book. I would definitely use this in a lesson dealing with synonyms.
