Bella Thorne’s career as an adult seems light-years away from her days as a young teen actress at Disney—things have changed. Due in part to some of the actress’s most praiseworthy films, from starring as the daughter of Adam Sandler’s character in Blended to her roles in The Babysitter, Amityville: The Awakening and Infamous, she has gained awards and credibility in the film industry. You’ll probably remember her television appearances in HBO’s Big Love, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation or the MTV spin-off series Scream. In 2019, she made her directorial debut with the adult film Her & Him, which won two awards and was nominated for seven more.
For those who are unaware: Thorne proved her prowess beyond acting when her debut single, “Watch Me,” with Zendaya back in 2011, reached the top 10 in the US Top Heatseekers chart. A few EPs, was released on her own record label, Filthy Fangs—a project that was announced a few years ago at Coachella. In her recent song, “Phantom,” Thorne fully embraces feminism and calls out censorship after dealing with several setbacks herself from platforms such as YouTube with her unapologetic music video for “Shake It.”
