The focus of this book is to help business leaders become better entrepreneurs by sharing the useful information tools and resources that will take your business to the next level.
The principles discussed in this book are generic principles that will apply across all industries and all sectors of business.

I have created this book to share with you the 10 key ingredients which many successful entrepreneurs have implemented themselves and have gained results, but I cannot guarantee the results that you are likely to achieve as I do not know your business.
As you journey through the Growth Barrier, I ask that you set action plans and monitor the results.
I would love to hear about your business successes.
Principle 1 – Building the Entrepreneurial Mindset
The first principle is an important principle that you have to accept to move forward with your business success. Without the right mindset, it will be difficult to gain control of the necessary principles to help you grow your business.
Ensuring that you have a positive mindset will help with your business success.
Whether you have an existing business or are getting ready to launch your business, one of your most pressing priorities is how to develop and strengthen your entrepreneurial mindset. Yes, building a business takes real work and effort, but it is best done with an attitude that embraces the initiative and risk involved in becoming your own boss.
Depending on the stage of your business will determine your mindset. For example, if you are a newly start-up business, your mindset will be focused on start-up. If you want to grow your business, it is important that your mindset changes and grows with your growth stage.
Let’s start by understanding the characteristics of an Entrepreneurial Mindset.
Characteristics of an Entrepreneurial Mindset
The basic characteristics of an entrepreneurial mindset comprise:
-Passionately seeks new opportunities;
-Pursues opportunities with enormous discipline;
-Pursues only the best opportunities; avoids exhausting themselves and their organizations by chasing after every option;
-Focuses on execution--specifically, adaptive execution;
-Engages the energies of everyone in their domain by creating and sustaining networks of relationships.
-Are you currently enjoying these characteristics?
Most start-up entrepreneurs are not at this stage of the mindset yet because their mindset is focused upon settling their business and get routine into their structure. However, when these owners are ready to grow their business, they will need to reshape their mindset along the characteristics illustrated above.
Cultivating the Entrepreneurial Mindset
To be able to succeed with your business growth, it is important to change any bad habits that may be forming the negative mindset into a more powerful, positive mindset. This is commonly referred to as cultivating the mindset.
You need to be able to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset for success.
As entrepreneurs, we make and hear a lot of excuses as to why goals/objectives are not met and we use these excuses not to pursue the goals. This happens frequently in our personal lives as well as our business.
Entrepreneurs, suppliers, customers and employees quite often use excuses such as:
I give up, it’s too hard
or I do not have the time to do this project.
These excuses do not help the company achieve its objectives. It is important to change the thought process around to a more positive solution such as:
I am going to find a solution
or I shall make time for this project.
You will be amazed at the end result. You may have to keep persevering with changing the mindset until it starts to become a natural process.
Cultivating the mindset of a successful entrepreneur can be broken down into seven simple steps so that you’re set up for success. Let us know look at each step:
-Keeping a Positive Attitude.
Situations and statements made by the people around us and ourselves can easily stir up the negative feelings within our minds. It is far easier to accept a negative thought than it is to accept a positive thought.
Having a positive attitude is not about pie-in-the-sky promises. It is about seeing things in perspective and framing things in a positive light. Rather than asking yourself What can I do to avoid this situation,
ask yourself What can I do to correct this situation?
The right attitude embraces challenges, always looking for the lesson buried in the difficulties.
-Learn from failure and move on.
Disappointments can be difficult, but they are also great opportunities to learn. Instead of being ashamed of the mishaps and blunders you’ve made, seek the lesson you
