    Chapter 1

    Robert walked out in his back yard one morning, and saw something glinting in the grass. He walked over and saw the enchanted sword lying in the grass. Attached to the sword was a letter addressed to him, from his friend Goldy. He detached the letter and then put the sword in his belt. He didn't want someone to see and grab it. Robert then opened up the envelope and read the letter inside.

    Dear Robert,

    Please come immediately! The children and I need your skills as a swordsman and wizard. There is a new sorcerer here and he is terrorizing everybody. He is even more powerful than Mordrid was.

    To come here, just place the tip of the sword in the ground and think of me. The enchanted sword will bring you to me, where ever I am.

    Robert read the letter twice and thought about it. He really hated to give up his home life. Things had really changed since he had returned from the Land of Lost Children. Once he had been bullied and disliked, but now he was liked by everyone. One of the bigger bullies was pushing Robert around one day, and although Robert had promised Goldy that he would do no evil with his magic, he needed to do something. He pushed just a little magic at the bully and changed the bully's dislike of Robert to like. After that, he and the bully were great friends. The bully became Robert's bodyguard and protected him from the other bullies. Soon Robert got along well with all of the other boys of the school, and even girls would come to his table and eat with him.

    Robert still couldn't play sports. He still couldn't run fast. He couldn't bat a ball or play football or basketball, but he went out with the rest of the other players and yelled and screamed and cheered them on and
