    BAYSIDE CITY 2016…

Elmer Wallace looked like your typical geek in his polo shirt, jeans, and thick glasses. He was running around a small but very modern looking lab. Machines made of shiny metal with colorful bright lights blinked. Beeping and low hums filled the room. In the middle of the lab was a glass cube. It was glowing bright red. The evil geek was actually the feared villain Cold Steel. All the really good names were gone. With his clever gizmos, he reigned in terror over the fair city. Even most heroines feared him. The fiend had ravished almost every one of them and sold many to likeminded men. Elmer checked the reading on his main console. The temperature was still rising too quickly. I need to keep the temperature down. I will have to risk using liquid oxygen.

The evil geek licked his lips. Then he reached up and began to turn a dial very slowly. Careful. Careful.

A white cloud of gas engulfed the cube.

Suddenly the ceiling came crashing down. A second later, a red and yellow clad heroine came flying down. The falling debris landed on the machines, causing them to explode. Sparks and smoke began to fill the room. Elmer looked around in horror and ran for the cube. NOOOO!

The entire room was engulfed in flames. The evil villain ran into the white cloud, reaching for a lever. The floor started fall away. Elmer reached the cube and pulled the lever. The side of it opened. Just then, the floor gave away. Elmer and the cube fell into the hole.

Crimson Blaze stood looking around at the destruction. She shrugged her shoulders. Oops! Sorry!

The young beautiful heroine saw the room was turning into an ice cube and soared up into the sky, leaving Elmer to his fate.

    SOMETIME IN THE FUTURE…

WHAT! Elmer gasped and sat up. He took deep breaths and looked around. He could only see darkness. The geek vaguely remembered that bimbo crashing into his lair just when he was about to give himself super powers. Elmer muttered a curse and stumbled in the darkness. He finally found the door and came into the lower level of his lair. Everything was covered with dust. Cobwebs hung from the ceiling. Okay, this can’t be good.

The villain tried to turn on his machines, but he had no power. Elmer went to the stairs leading to the emergency exit. He came out the side of the mountain and gasped.

Instead of the old tower that had been his lair, there was a park with a huge statue of that dumb bimbo who had destroyed his lab. He read the plaque and frowned. The lair of Cold Steel, arch foe of Crimson Blaze. Destroyed by the good and faithful heroine. 2016. Let this be a warning to all evil doers.

Oh, this can’t pass! Elmer snapped and went back down into his lair. Luckily, his costume and weapons were all intact. First I will need some money and some fun.

Later that night, Cold Steel stepped into the vault and looked over the stacks of money and gold. He rubbed his gloved hands together. The infamous villain was clad in his black leather jumpsuit with the big red lightning bolt blazed across the chest plate. A helmet covered his entire head. The black glass visor gave him infra-red and night
