About this ebook

In this book we give an overall description of God's plan for all mankind. There are numerous messages such as the present Resurrection, showing that resurrection is not merely the experience of those who die physically, but for anyone wanting to experience a deeper oneness in God. We also show Old Testament types of the Person and Work of Christ, and what that means to us. We look at advancing in the Most Holy Place, God's Apology to man, the generation of Jesus Christ, the stones in the breastplate of the high priest, and how we can be a partaker of what most believe to be merely historical. We explore other truths for those who are seeking a fuller understanding of the Bible.

    ONE

    THE BUILDERS OF THE TABERNACLE

God is forming Himself in and as a people whom He is using to build the House of The Lord. They are a people that He has groomed and has birthed His nature within. They are Love, Mercy, Grace, and Peace personified. In this study we will look at the builders of the Tabernacle of Moses and see the qualifying God-given character which they had. The same qualifications are built within a people today that God is using to build a Spiritual Tabernacle.

    STIRRED UP AND WILLING HEARTS

Exodus 35:20-22 "And all the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses. And they came, everyone Whose Heart Stirred Him Up, and everyone Whom His Spirit Made Willing, and they brought the Lord's offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments. And they came, both Men and Women, as many as were Willing Hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered, offered an offering of gold unto the Lord."

Exodus 35:29-35 "The children of Israel brought a Willing Offering unto the Lord, every man and woman, Whose Heart Made Than Willing to bring for all manner of work which the Lord had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses. And Moses said unto the children of Israel See, the Lord hath called by name Be-zal-e-el the son of Uri, the son of Hur, the tribe of Judah; and He hath filled him with the Spirit Of God, In Wisdom, In Understanding, And In Knowledge, and in all manner of Workmanship; And to devise Curious Works, to work in Gold, and in Silver, and in Brass; And in the Cutting Of Stones, to Set Them, and in Carving Of Wood, to make Any Manner Of Cunning Work And He hath put in his heart, that he may Teach, both he, and A-HO' LI-AB, the son of A-H1S' A-MACH, of the tribe of Dan. Them hath He filled with Wisdom Of Heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple; in scarlet, and in fine linens, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning works."

Exodus 36:1-4 "Then wrought BE-ZAL'E-EL and A-HO’ LI-AB, and every wise hearted man, in whom the Lord put Wisdom and Understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the Lord had commanded. And Moses called BE-ZAL' E-EL and A-HO' LI-AB, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the Lord had put Wisdom, even everyone whose heart Stirred him up to come unto the work and do it: And they received of Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning. And all the WISE men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they made."

The Lord is forming Himself in, through, and as a people who have these same qualifications that the builders of the tabernacle had. He has made us a new type of people whom He can use to build the spiritual tabernacle, His temple. Revelation 21:22 tells us, And I [John] saw No temple in the city for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. This simply means that there are a people who manifest the glory of God to such an extent that nothing in the outer realm is seen. The only thing that is seen is the Nature of God; no Manifestation of flesh or humanity.

This people who manifest only the glory and majesty of God are the ones whom God is using to build the tabernacle [the house of the Lord]. That is not to say that we are manifesting all of the nature of God, but we are beginning to move into that dimension of Spirit.

Matthew 16:18 I will build my church, and the gates of hell [death] shall not prevail against it. The Lord builds His church rather than man in human ability.

Psalms 127:1 Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it.

Except the building that we are, is built by God, it is not according to the pattern. Building with the Lord necessitates seeing what the Lord is presently doing, and then working along with Him. The children of Issachar had understanding of the times in which they lived therefore they knew what they ought to do.

Hebrews 3:1-2 "Wherefore holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Who was Faithful to Him that appointed Him, as also Moses was Faithful in all His house." Jesus was faithful unto Him that appointed and ordained Him, and we must be faithful unto Him that appointed and ordained us.

Hebrews 3:3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honor than the house. For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. We know that it is God, the builder that works through man to build the house of the Lord.

Hebrews 3:5 "And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; But Christ as a Son over His own house; whose house Are We If we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end." Every house today is built by some man, even though God is builder of all. God can only work through and as man.

    REPAIRERS AND RESTORERS

Isaiah 58:12 "And they that shall be of thee shall Build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The Repairer Of The Breach, The Restorer Of Paths To Dwell In." Isaiah 61:4 "And they shall Build the old wastes, they shall Raise up the former desolations, and they shall Repair The Waste Cities, The Desolations of many generations." Through these scriptures, we can see the context that the Lord has in the group of builders He is bringing forth to effect a work of restoration and reconciliation in the building of the Lord's house, which has been torn down. Jesus said, Tear this temple down, and in three days I will raise it up again... Just as Jesus was crucified and torn down as it were, so the body of Christ has been torn down, and was built up again when Jesus went to the cross, and in His resurrection. Now a people are realizing that and experiencing this building up. I Corinthians 8:8-9 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are laborers together with God... God is building but we are the laborers together WITH God. ...Ye are God's Husbandry, ye are God's building. So we are God's little acre. The word husbandry means, we are God's plowed field.

I Corinthians 3:10 "According to the grace of God which is given to me, as a Wise Master builder [expert in building], I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed HOW he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."

We are builders in God's house. First of all, we are builders of ourselves, and then builders of the house as a whole. Hebrews 8:1-5 "Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum:" In other words, he is summing up everything he had written in the previous chapters. "We have such a high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the majesty in the heavens; a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man has somewhat also to offer. For if He were on earth, He should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law: Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, see, saith He, that thou make all things according to the Pattern shewed to thee on the mount." Moses was Faithful just as Jesus was faithful. Today, a people whom God is using to build the house of the Lord are faithful as they see the Lord’s faithfulness. Even though Moses built a physical tabernacle, the pattern for it had its origin in the heavens, or in the dimension of Spirit. That which he built was of God, not of man. Moses was faithful in building this earthly tabernacle. Moses sought God in how to build the tabernacle and God gave him detailed instructions to build it according to the measurements and all the instructions to build it according to His plan. Even though God gave Moses all the details, Moses still needed Workmen to build it. This is the context of this whole bible study. Moses needed workmen that could build the tabernacle. God needs Workmen to build His house! God moved upon these men to build. God put His Spirit within a people who will build, and ARE building today! Moses may have had the blueprints, but it was not Moses who built it. God touched certain men and gave them spiritual ability. Let us look at Moses as representing the Lord Jesus Christ; He has laid out the blueprint, but there still must be hearts that are touched to build according to the pattern in the heavens. Individually and corporately there is a building that must take on massive proportions.

As we read earlier from Exodus 35:21, "And they came, everyone whose heart stirred him up..." We need to be stirred up in our heart by the Spirit within. This stirring is not from just an emotional high or from ministers making us feel guilty if we don't get stirred up; but this stirring must come from within our Spirit! The kind of lukewarm attitude which we see in the church today, is not the characteristic of those who are involved in the crucial work of the building that God is building through His sons. The Word also says, "There came everyone who's Heart was stirred up..." It is one thing to have a pot of oil, but it's another thing to set that pot of oil on the fire and have it start boiling. We cannot live forever on Borrowed Anointing. What is borrowed anointing? It is when we come Together, even in our own homes, and we get in on the edge and begin to flow with others, after someone else has started moving in the anointing. It's like drinking out of a saucer, instead of a cup. The little that has spilled over onto the saucer becomes what we drink of someone else's anointing, rather than our own anointing within. We don't need to wait for someone else to move and then get in on their anointing, because we have our own. David said in Psalms 69:6, "For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up..." When you are consumed with the desire to see the corporate pattern fashioned then it will be so.

The first thing that was evident in those who built the tabernacle was that their heart stirred them up. Secondly, their spirit made them willing. These two elements working together made them Move. When was the last time you were moved? When was the last time you were stirred by the spirit within? It is one thing to be stirred, but another thing to be moved. We need all these elements working together to be successful. We need to be Stirred, Willing, and then Moved! If you are a part of what God is doing, you must be crucially involved in some way. You must be moved in a certain direction. There is first the Stirring up by the Spirit, then there is a Moving of the Spirit to be made willing, then we go even further, to Acting or Moving on what God has worked within us.

Psalms 110:l-3a "The Lord said unto my Lord, sit thou at my right hand until I make thine enemies thy footstool The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power..." Another translation of verse three says, 'Thy people shall volunteer freely in the day of your power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the Dew of thy Youth." There is a group of people today who are coming forth in God, who are as the morning dew on a parched barren land. They are going forth as the army of God in spiritual might and power; not fighting the system or looking for a greater power to overcome a lesser power, but ruling in Peace and reconciliation. However it begins with a people who are willing in the day of His power. A people volunteering freely! We used to sing the song: Lord I'll do what you want me to do - I'll go where you want me to go... Oh how the body of Christ needs to return to that kind of attitude of heart. If we are not willing, we need to pray: Lord make me willing to be willing! The Word says, Everyone whose spirit made him willing.

Are we willing to be crucially involved? Not on the Receiving end, if you please; but in the building end of what the Lord is presently doing? Are you willing to be a Restorer of the Breach?

    NAME - NATURE - CHARACTER

We read earlier in Exodus 35:30, "And Moses said unto the children of Israel See, the Lord hath called by Name BE-ZAL E-EL..." When God calls you by name, He may not call you by your natural name; He may have another name for you. Because to call you by a name means, that He knows your character. In Revelation 3:1 Jesus said, "Thou hast a Name that thou livest, but thou art Dead" He was saying that they had a Name, but He had another one for them, because of their character and their nature.

The Lord approached Jacob and said, Your name is Jacob [meaning, cheater and deceiver]. The Lord knows our Name. He sees down in the very recesses of our heart. Anytime God would change a person's name He would also change their character. For example, in Genesis chapter 32, after the Lord asked Jacob his name, and Jacob told Him, the Lord said, Your name shall no longer be Jacob [deceiver and cheat], because I am changing your nature; your name shall now be Israel; a prince with God!

Jacob went straight through the veil at that time, for he had a nature change. He became a Princely person. Revelation mentions several times that a people are going to get a new name. A people will have a name of the city of our God written upon them. The name of the city of God means: Holiness unto the Lord - The Lord Is There! It is translated as Jehovah Shammah which means: They Are One in God! Ezekiel 48:35 "And the name of the city from that day shall be, The Lord Is There." Not only is He going to write on us the name of the city of our God, but Revelation speaks of giving us the name of our God.

There are several scriptures that speak of the new name given to us, by God. First, in Isaiah chapter 62, there are two names given to the Zion of God. Verse 4 gives those names as: HEPH ZI-BAH meaning, The One in who is My Delight. The other is Beulah meaning, Married. In other words, these people are no longer a people wondering around in a wilderness experience, but this people are now Married. Spirit and flesh have become One - Married! She’s no longer an outcast, forsaken, old maid, but the Feminine Principle, the outer realm, has married Spirit [Masculine Principle]. This marriage has caused them to have the ability to produce the life of God; to build the house of the Lord.

In Exodus 35:30, where God called his name BE-ZAL’ E-EL, which means: Under God's Shadow; God had pitched a canopy over him and he was operating in God's Anointing, or in God’s shadow. The shadow of God is mentioned in Isaiah 4, and Psalms 91. The other man that God chose in Exodus 35 was named A-HO’ LI-AB, which means: Father's Tent. That is a good characteristic. You'll be a father and a covering; A protection unto many as you build the temple. You are A-HO’ LI-AB, Father's Tent

Revelation tells us that there is a secret name that the Father is giving us on a white stone, which no one else knows. The white stone refers to a Pure Word. This nature of God formed in us will cause us to speak only a pure Word which will build the temple.

We have mentioned three things: 1] They were stirred; 2] They were made willing; 3] They acted. But there is another thing that was added which is the fact that God knew their character and gave them a Name. He gave them a Nature to produce His life.

Exodus 35:31 "And He hath filled him with the Spirit of God in Wisdom, in Understanding, and in Knowledge, and in all Manner of Workmanship." Let's look briefly at these four things: Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, and in all Manner of Workmanship.

    WISDOM

The word for Wisdom in this passage of scripture is translated, Ability. What is the Source of your spiritual work? There could be three possible sources: God, Human Ability, or Soul Power. Any source other than God is either human ability or soul power. Zechariah 4:6 Not by might [no mental might], nor by power [not physical or material power], but by My Spirit, saith the Lord.

    An Appearance of Flesh Power

What is flesh power? It is anything within us that gives us religious motivation Apart from the Spirit of God. It is seeking to operate in the Spirit by empty Godless motivation. Flesh power is: Everything that can begin with my outer self. Fleshliness is not much different than humanism. That which seeks to do the work of God without first being made of God in the place of prayer is fleshly. That which is super-critical and judgmental of others who are seeking to move on in God [even if they are moving slowly), is not spiritual discernment, but flesh power! Anything that looks for perfection before performance is flesh power! Some people will not do anything spiritual, because they are waiting to do it perfect or better than someone else – That is flesh power!

We become perfect by doing or practicing something; we do not become perfect by sitting around hoping to someday become good at something. We must learn to act, and even how to make a few blunders, and then, through correction, become perfect [mature]! Another element of flesh power is that which is built upon seeking one emotional high after another.

We must learn to live by Faith and let the Lord bring the emotional high when and however He desires. Another thing that is fleshly is, that which has ministry as its goal, rather than the image of the Lord Jesus Christ as its goal. All of our spiritual work must be through the Ability of God rather than the ability of the flesh. Many people are greatly talented, but lack anointing and ability in the Spirit. So wisdom or ability can have three sources; God ability, human ability, or flesh power. The scripture says, It is not by might (mental might), nor by power (physical or material), but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. Let us build the house of the Lord by His Ability!

    UNDERSTANDING

The second thing God gave them to build the temple was Understanding, which could be translated as Intelligence. One translation has it as Intelligence or Skillfulness. Exodus 36:1 ...Every wise hearted or skillful man, in whom the Lord put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the Lord had commanded.

The Lord is forming His nature in us who are competent to the task of building His temple. What does it mean to have understanding, intelligence, and be skillful? It is one who operates not just in the in part gift realm but in the Spirit of the Lord, according to Isaiah chapter 11. When someone comes to you and needs a word from the Lord, you do not have to send them to someone who operates in that gift, because you operate in the Spirit of the Lord realm - You speak the word of the Lord. If someone comes to you and has a need for a healing, you can minister to that individual. You do not have to send the sick to someone who operates in the gift of healing, you have spiritual skillfulness and intelligence. The builders of the tabernacle seek the Giver rather than the Gift.

Exodus 36:1 ...They shall do all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, According to all that the Lord had commanded. I would encourage you not to use the anointing as a license to do or say something you really wanted to say or do for a long time; a message that you really wanted to get to somebody for a while; or you are operating in the real anointing and you stick a few of your Own words in. We do not use the anointing as an occasion to the flesh realm, or for our own profit or gain. Paul said that the spirit of the prophet is
