Where to begin...I'm a single mom...of a rescue hound and I live in a sleepy, small town in the United States of America where farms outnumber, well, everything, and every conversation starts with a polite colloquial greeting and ends with a "God bless you", whether you sneeze or not. Somewhere in the middle of all that, I get my stories. I look in the faces of so many prim and proper southern women who are screaming to say more than "Good morning, sweetie...God bless you" and in those ever so small ellipses, I find my inspiration. I'm not judging them because when I bought my weekly gallon of sweet tea I said the above phrase to the cashier as I handed her my tattered debit card. There was a time after college where I traveled the world and very exotic things tickled my fancy. Yet, now, I'm settled with my pooch and everyday things fascinate me. I'm fascinated by how we all have these strong, burning urges all of us, but it's taboo to talk about it. We are well-oiled robots on the outside with poorly managed turbines churning and burning on the inside. Anyway, nice to meet you, sweetie, and [insert name here] bless you.

Chapter One

Rachel tensed under the shower of blows. The bed was a hurricane, thunderous crash after thunderous crash, and the glimmer of a belt buckle was the lightning that excited every nerve in her curvy body. The noise was the worst, like the boom of monsoon thunder. She wanted to yell stop but it would be futile, a waste of breath and energy. His shadow moved like a wrecking ball, lifting and lowering painful strikes on her back, legs and backside. Her cotton underwear offered no protection. She would be marked, but he wanted that. More so, she needed it. Oxygen raced like wild fire down her throat as she released a shallow breath she had been holding for ten blows. He was being rougher today. Good. She needed a shock to their routine. Even during a workout like this, your body can go stagnant on you. Her body was bored, lulled to numbness. Not today. It was awake and purple and pink and, even better, she’s soaking: sweat, blood, tears and arousal.
