- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I picked this book because it had really high ratings, but I found the writing style poor and forced, and the plot either unnecessarily convoluted in places or far too simple, almost to the point of silliness. While the idea for the book itself is not bad, I feel that it could have been carried out with much more promise and eloquence.
I would recommend this book to readers who do not want to think too much or read something too complicated - for someone in the mood for a short, easily comprehendible read. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5John Barron never felt at home in his own skin. Constantly moving from place to place, from job to job, he can never escape the nagging feeling that someone, or something, is coming for him, and that this predatory evil threatens all he holds most dear...Rose is a creature of the night, a brutal killer with no conscience who is propelled only by the need to survive. But now, suddenly, she sees in her dreams the face of a child, her baby, and her life is thrown into a chaos she never saw coming. What links these two damaged souls, and what will happen when their paths merge? The Last Night, the second novel from Mark P. Dunn, is a twisting ride through the darkest fears and brightest hopes of the human heart.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was an interesting story that flowed well. The characters John and Rose were well written and even though I think that vampires have been overdone this was still a good read. I would recommend it
