About this ebook

Sex In Politics, Dr. Lurie’s latest book, explains how sex influences politics. It covers why sex, how sex, and where sex is embedded in the America political system.
The biological, genetically programmed reproductive role of women in the nest is manifest in politics as support for those who cannot care for themselves. They are comfortable spending for them, as for their children. Biologically, they keep the nest comfortable for the children, make sure all of them survive, and prepare them for the real world.
These mainly genetically programmed functions are manifest in politics in environmental cleanliness, equality despite inequality, and education.
The biological survival role of men is to acquire resources outside the nest for his offspring. It is manifest in politics in a focus on jobs and the economy. Their survival role of protecting the nest is manifest in a focus on military strength and crime fighting.

Sex in Politics - Melvyn Lurie MD

    Cycle

    Chapter 1: Sex In Politics

Humans are so complicated that human nature is hard to define.      Melvyn Lurie, M.D.

To begin to reconcile these two truisms, one must first look at the basic life functions of survival and reproduction, as they are played out in humans. We are a social, nesting species. Our offspring are few, very helpless, and very dependent. Survival and reproduction are carried out by sexual division of labor, with considerable sexual overlap. To understand how all this fits together, let us first look at whether each of the supporting life functions primarily takes place ITN (inside the nest) or OTN (outside the nest).

We also have to look at which sex is designed for each supporting function (survival or reproduction) and which expends the most energy and focus on it. The following table is ordered by location (ITN or OTN) and sex (female or male) carrying out survival and reproduction.

    Note:

    1. Reproduction (R) functions take place primarily inside the nest (ITN) by females.

    2. Survival (S) functions take place primarily outside the nest (OTN) by males.

Now let us look at current American political issues/styles/values, and the party supporting or focused on them, sorted by political
