 Chapter 1: Love hurts

It was a dark, cold and rainy day. I soldiered my way back to my condo unit which was located far away from here. I wanted to be away from here... anywhere but here. Just not here. The humiliation, the fear, the anxiety... all of my negative emotions were eating me up inside. I looked up at the dark and colossal sky. Thousands of tiny raindrops hit my face as I looked up at the cloudy skies above me. I felt it was going to eat me up. And I actually wanted it to.

I probably looked like some crazy guy walking along the road that day, wearing a suit without an umbrella while the rain was pouring down hard. I didn't really care about what anybody thought. I didn't care about anything at all.

I passed by motorists who gave me a weird stare, all of them were probably wondering why someone who looked like the CEO of a company was walking so slowly in the rain. And that was the worst part... because I really was the CEO of a company called Marble Kitchens.

I didn't think heartbreak actually felt this bad. A had a relationship with a girl before but we had never really felt a connection with each other so we had to cut it. We were very different people with different tastes and somewhere along the ride, we just knew it wouldn't work out.

But this girl, Mary-Ann Miller... she was different. We had something. We loved a lot of the same things. We got along great. She was also one of my prized chefs in my company.

Then one day. Bang. She cut all her ties. Not just with me but with my company as well.
