In 2004 her poem "Thank You," a devotion to her grandmother was published by AmericanPoets. She receives her talent from her parents, grandparents and great grandparents. Since the age of twelve she has always yearned to write; regardless of the subject.
In her spare time she likes to walk while listening to reggae or gospel music; mostly Bob Marley and Kirk Franklin. Every now and again she likes to travel with her family and friends. She also spends a great deal of time reading poetry from other poets, published or non-published.
Diane lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her three children and family. She attended the Teaching and Technology program at Hughes Center High School. During her teen years she recived honors in Reading and Writing on the Ohio Proficiency Test, a talent that has now been passed down to her oldest son, Koran.
After getting her diploma she attended Cincinnati State Technical and Community College where she received her Associates of Applied Science in Early Childcare Education. She is well known throughout her childrens school as a Parent Ambassador and PTO member. Diane is now furthering her education by attending college for Graphic Design.
