CONTACT POINT
A light breeze gently moved the solaflower in the early afternoon. This beautiful sight, this work of art, he found in a field of weeds and grass between the ball field and the grazing pasture. As he got closer to it, it grew and the background faded. This was his focus, his moment for this day. It was a normal solaflower with yellow-green petals and a large blue center that bulged out. Studying it closely now, the sound of a field wren chirping came to him. Then gradually the sound of the children playing on the ball field could be heard. It was so peaceful and happy. He thought to himself, 'This moment should last forever.' It was called wishing, something he had been trying out lately. As soon as he 'wished' for that moment to last, the center of the flower began to open. It was as if it heard his special desire, his wish, and responded to it. It slowly opened to fully expose the sparkly jewel-like interior-a rare sight indeed. It was now a whole new art in view, saying to him, 'This view is only for you.' It made this day certainly unforgettable.
Walking toward the ball field, he stopped at an oak tree on the outside edge of the left outfield. There was no fence, just some short bushes and a few trees that served as a boundary of the ball field. The observer watched for awhile as the children played. They were all getting along well and enjoying their game. There may have even been one or two girls on the team. Boys and girls seemed to play equally well at that age of 10-12 years.
A ball was hit well and sailed way out toward center field. When the pitcher turned around to look at it, the observer could see that he looked familiar. That boy on the mound looked like him when he was a child, when he was called Aldanon. The observer realized it was him, about 200 years in the past of Earth. He stepped behind the oak tree and took a deep breath. Now he knew for sure he was in his past. He did not want to come too close or be seen by his past self. He knew that, more than likely they would not be able to see him because he existed on a different bio-frequency, but he wanted to be safe. This observer, known as EL, which could stand for Eldon Lifted, was formerly known as Eldon. He had been on his past Earth for some time now.
He had some suspicion that it might be in the past, but did not worry about it for several solar quadems. He was just enjoying some terra-time on this beautiful planet. But now that he knew the exact time and place, he knew he had been negligent. He could not stay, not in his past, especially with his past self in the vicinity. Even though according to the current understanding of time, (‘current’ being 200 years from where he was on the planet), there was little chance of contaminating his future that had already happened. EL had heard stories of how time travelers had changed for
