About this ebook
Yes, it's a massive book of Harry Potter trivia. So what, you ask? There are dozens of them. Well, this book is also a flexible board-less table top game that you can play anywhere with any number of people.
Playing with Muggles? No problem! The game easily adapts to players with varying levels of expertise. Each question is assigned a point value and optional multiple choice answers are provided. Questions are drawn from the books, the movies, and the Pottermore website and range in difficulty from Muggle simplicity to post-N.E.W.T. level.
Or, you can just read it like a book. You'll find 2160 trivia questions, making it -- by far -- the largest collection of its kind.
Optional accessories (colored dice, additional score cards, and a print edition) are available via the Trivia Geeks website.
NOTE: This book is an unofficial collection of trivia. It is in no way formally endorsed by or affiliated with the magnificent J.K. Rowling or her business associates. It is primarily intended for those who have already consumed every shred of available information about the Potterverse and want to wallow in their utter geekiness.

The Trivia Geeks Present - Debi Lewis
Introduction & Game Suggestions
If this book does not display correctly on your device, please let us know! It was a difficult manuscript to format, and although we tried to test it on every available platform, there will undoubtedly be some hiccups. The nice thing about ebooks is that they can be easily updated, and the new version will magically appear in your digital library.
The trivia questions in this book are structured similarly to a card from the Trivial Pursuit board game in that there are six categories. We chose that format for simplicity, because it's already familiar to trivia game aficionados. There the similarity ends.
The Trivia Geeks' format allows easy adaptation of book to multi-player game in virtually any setting with the addition of a single die to roll (or a random number generator app). A sample score card is included at the end of the book along with a link to a printable version.
Deluxe game kits may also be available via The Trivia Geeks' website that include a tablet of printed score cards and 3 differently-colored dice.
To make game play easier, the questions are provided in optional multiple choice format. As a means of leveling the field, expert players can be denied access to the multiple choice answers while novice players receive the hints.
To make game play more difficult, each question also includes a point value which can be used with or without the multiple choice option. Players can choose a target number of points per category rather than simply a fixed number of questions to be correctly answered.
Unlike a traditional board game format, however, the number of simultaneous players is unlimited. There is no game board to navigate or tiny pieces to lose. Instead, the game is designed to be playable in virtually any environment.
The player whose birthday is closest to today goes first and play proceeds in whatever direction is preferred: clockwise, counter clockwise, by order of birthdays, by age....
To determine the card from which the question should be asked, the player rolls the die twice: The 1st roll is multiplied by the current time's minute. The 2nd roll is then added to the product from the 1st roll. In this manner, it is possible to access each of the 360 cards.
Lastly, the player rolls the die to determine from which category the question should be asked with 1 = The Dark Arts, 2 = Hogwarts, 3 = Magical People, and so on. Thus, it is possible to receive any of the 2,160 total questions.
Just about anything in the Harry Potter universe is fair game. That includes the books, the films, and anything posted on J.K. Rowling's Pottermore website. Some questions are so easy a Muggle can answer them, and others are so obscure that even Hermione would have to visit the library to look them up!
The first player to complete their score card in whatever manner chosen is the winner. The game can end at that point, or the remaining players can opt to continue play to determine subsequent place finishers.
NOTE: If three differently colored dice are available, as with the deluxe game kit, all three can be rolled simultaneously with the colors representing time factor, addend, and category.
For ease of navigation, the CARD INDEX on the following page links to each card.
