The World’s Most Mysterious Unsolved Crimes! - Alex Pined
1. In Search of the Perfect Crime
Many people go through their lives without causing any real problems, and they certainly would never think about stepping outside the lines and breaking the law. There are others, however, who see an opportunity and take advantage of it in order to improve their station in life, or perhaps to seek revenge for some untold difficulties. These individuals all feel as if they have committed the perfect crime, but in reality, the perfect crime may not exist.

Description: Sherlock Holmes––––––––
In this book, we are going to review some of the greatest unsolved crimes that still remain a mystery, down to this day. The fact that they are unsolved does not necessarily mean that they are the perfect crime, but rather, it may just be a matter of the clues not fitting together yet, or some piece of evidence not turning up. As imperfect people, we make mistakes and this is true in all aspects of our life. When a crime is committed, there are going to be clues that are left behind at the scene or elsewhere, which will prove the innocence or guiltiness of somebody that is being charged with a crime. That is a fact of life and it is indisputable.
At times, it is not possible to decipher the available evidence in a way that would allow the crime to be unfolded before us. An example of this is the advancements in science in recent years. These advances have helped crime scene analysts to determine factors about the crime that would have been impossible to figure out in times past. In some cases, evidence that was preserved from decades ago can now be analyzed properly with new methods, and the case reopened. In other cases, the evidence may have deteriorated to the point that current methods are unable to review it adequately.
All of the crimes that are discussed in this book have yet to be solved. There may be factors that are solvable within the crimes, but in some cases, there seems to be a lack of evidence that would allow the crime to be solved definitively. In many of these cases, the information is still of interest to those who would like to research it. But any real pursuit of additional evidence or for a way to solve the crime has fallen by the wayside. After all, crimes are being committed every day and they often use the resources of those who would be able to solve those crimes that have been committed in years past.
The information in this book is provided to help you to think. It allows you to see behind-the-scenes in many of the unsolved crimes that are considered to be, in some cases, unsolvable. At some point in the future, somebody may be able to determine the answer to one of these crimes but at this point, the answer is still hidden from view.
