Hello everyone, I'm Chelsea Chaynes! What can I say? I have a dirty, wildly vivid imagination that keeps me busy. I strive to create the most imaginative, thought provoking erotica on the market while pushing forward new boundaries and ideas. Writing is my passion, something that you will understand every time you "buy it now."When I am not writing stories for you, my beloved readers, I am crunching numbers for the "proverbial" man. When I'm especially tired of debits and credits, I'll sneak in a word or two at work. Ssh... It's our secret.I love thinking about science, the concept of alien life and the myriad of mysteries the universe has stumped humankind with. I also enjoy psychology, the motivations of people, and the pitfalls of the modern, electronically connected society. These themes, among others are commonplace in my stories.Thank you for reading my stories. Without you, the reader, Chelsea Chaynes doesn't exist. I understand this and truly appreciate all your support.Have a great day!Follow me on Twitter @ChelseaChayneschelseachaynes@gmail.com - questions, comments or criticism appreciated!Chelsea

    Chapter 1

We’d been on the road for hours. Tired from such a punishing day I needed rest but couldn’t allow myself to take it, not with Colt struggling and in pain. For all I knew he could pass out and die right beside me, sending us both hurtling into a tree. His stubbornness put my life at risk, as well as his.

Even though I was silent I still looked over at him with every passing minute. His white undershirt was stained with blood, though the bleeding appeared to have stopped or at the very least slowed, but his pain was evident by his facial expressions, which were tense and grimaced. It was obvious he was hurting but somehow managed to keep his eyes glued on the road in front of us as we high tailed it north.

To put it simply, I was amazed at his ability to handle pain. Thinking back to all the city slicker, soft-handed men I’d dated in the past made me realize how tough this son of a bitch was. Those men would have been killed by the events of this day, or at the very least unable to continue, but not Colt. Colt was a man’s man and I respected that. But with that toughness and edge came a lifestyle I wasn’t used to. Would we ever have a normal relationship? Or would we always be on the run from one malevolent force or another? He’d lived this life for years and I was struggling to keep up with it for a just a few days.

Tired of the silence between us I broke it. Colt, baby. I’m worried.

Grunting through his pain he turned toward me. Stop. Stop your fucking worrying. I’m fine. He returned his gaze to the road ahead, which kept on coming at us like a treadmill.

The brashness of his voice sucked out my confidence. I just care about you. Can’t I be worried?

What is it with you and being worried?

    I shrugged my shoulders. I don’t know, Colt. I can’t help it. It’s how I’m built. I’m sorry.

He sighed. I don’t need you worrying about me, ok? It’s only adding to my stress. We don’t have time for worry, or fear, or weakness. We have to be strong to get through this.

I nodded. How much longer until we hit Klamath Falls?

The last sign said ten miles, we’re close. It’s been a long ride and I’m looking forward to seeing my friend.

    What’s his name?

Dusty. And he can fix me. He used to be a medic back in the day, back before …

    Before what?

Nothing. It has to do with the MC and I don’t want to get into it. It’s messy.

That’s fine. I won’t ask. Zipping my lips I watched the headlights of our BMW glint off the dew covered pine trees stretching up and down the side of the road. It was beautiful up here. But that beauty was shattered by what went down at the Broken Axel, and what we’d been through since then. I’d never come across a man as soulless and evil as Wade Gunn. At least Colt had a code. That was even more than I could say for myself.

    Colt?

    What? he snapped.

What about Beast and Houston? Why did they turn on you?

Turning he yelled at me. "I don’t know! And I don’t want to fucking talk about it!"

Jesus, Colt. I’m sorry. I’m sorry they turned on you.

Whatever. I’m not surprised. Fuck them both. They’ve been eyeing my position since I took it. Now that’s enough!

    Ok, baby. I’m sorry.

Colt winced in pain and his face started to sweat. All that yelling hadn’t done him any favors.

Turning to me again he faked a smile. I’m sorry for yelling. Ok?

It’s ok, Colt. I understand. Do you think this will all be ok, that we’ll get out from this? I need you to say it.

"Of course we will. Now keep quiet, I need to concentrate. There’s a turn coming up
