One of the biggest questions that I get asked over and over from gold and silver buyers is... Where do I store the gold and silver that I buy? As simple as it sounds, there is no one simple answer. The answer depends on a number of factors that are covered in detail in this book. Make no mistake about it. The answer, or rather YOUR ANSWER to this question, is critically important.

If you make the right decisions here, your life is good, really good. If you make poor decisions here, at best it can affect your wealth. At worst it could affect your life. Really. This is serious stuff and you owe it to yourself to take some time and carefully review the information contained here, think it through and make the wise decisions that are best for you and your personal situation.

My motivation for writing this book was twofold. Way back when I first starting purchasing silver and gold, I searched everywhere to find the answers contained in this book. It was not easy. I simply wanted to find the best places to store my gold and silver. How hard could that be to find out, right? As it turned out for me, a lot harder than I thought.

With diligent research I was only able to find bits of information about individual storage options here and there. I have yet to find any one publication anywhere near as comprehensive and complete as this one. I believe it is very important to understand and assess all of the available storage options and only then make the best decisions for yourself, based on having all of the facts and information in front of you.

My other motivation for writing the book was personal. I’ve been involved with gold and silver in one way or another for decades. It seemed like I was always getting asked the storage question. Quite frankly, I just got tired or telling the same story over and over. Hence the book.

Due to what’s going on with our economy, our massive Federal debt and concerns about the dollar, new metals investors are purchasing physical gold and silver every day. They realize they need to exchange some of their paper dollars which are declining in value, for a real store of value that is found in precious metals. Quite a few of them purchase rather large quantities of metals, and don’t have a clue about where to store them once they get them.

A while back I had a medical doctor call and ask for suggestions on the best way to store his metals. He was obviously a very intelligent person and we had a great chat. Recently he had made the decision to start accumulating physical gold and silver. For his very first purchase he wanted to purchase $600,000 worth of gold and silver.

However, he had no idea in the world as to which metal he should buy more of (gold or silver), he had no idea what forms would be best to buy (coins or bars, etc.), and he had no idea of where to store it nor how much space it would take up. He even asked me if he should rent a warehouse to store it in.

When I told him that if he put half of his investment into gold, he would be able to put that much gold in his pants pockets, he almost dropped the phone. He quickly figured out that he did not need to rent a warehouse to store his metals.

It just goes to show that it really does not matter how smart someone is, storing gold and silver is a unique niche that requires its own specialized knowledge.
