Gillian Felix
Gillian Felix has been writing since she was old enough to hold a pencil. She enjoys creating characters that could be your next-door neighbor, but would you want them as your neighbor is another story. Originally from the island republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Miss Felix moved to the United States in 1998. Since then she has been involved in the entertainment industry for over ten years. Her experience ranges from script supervisor to production manager on many independent features. She is trained in the Meisner and Stanislavski technique of acting, which she credits as an asset to her character development and writing. Introduction
Blog tours are a great way to promote your book, engage with readers and generate sales. But you need to do solid pre-work if you want it to have the outcome you desire.
I’ve been asked time and time again about blog tours so I’ve decided to answer all questions plus add some extra tips in this e-book. Blog tours can be intimidating to newbie authors. Don’t get me wrong I am not professing to be an expert
but I am not an amateur either. I am simply an author like you, who went in search of information about blog tours. I am also a blogger and this book is written from both points of view.
After writing and publishing my first novel, I was lost about what to do next to get my work in front of readers. I thought that once I uploaded my novel to KDP and hit publish that people would find my book and download it. Can you blame me? When authors are interviewed they never talk about marketing. If you watch the videos of authors talking about the greatness of KDP, they all talk about uploading their book and gaining readers. To the naïve listener it appears as if it happens overnight, like they uploaded their book, went to bed and woke up, checked their stats on Amazon and wham! Their book made the bestseller list. They never mention the hours and hours spent marketing trying to get their books in front of readers.
Upon investigating said authors novels, I found that their books had lots of reviews which let me to believe that people must be buying those books. Imagine my surprise when I uploaded my book, hit publish and what? Crickets. Nada ... well not so much I bought a copy of my first novel because I wanted to make sure it looked right. So I
