Due to the emergence of fast food and women just being too busy to make an elaborate meal the art of the sensual cooking has gone down the drain. I first got my taste of how sex and food could work together when I watched the movie Like Water for Chocolate based on a novel by the same name by Mexican writer, Laura Esquivel. The vision of making love through food never left me. It inspired me so much that  years ago I started a food and sex blog called ‘The Courtesan Cooks"  as a way to celebrate food and sex where I served up recipes packed with aphrodisiacs, sex positions, sex information and anything else that combined the two passions.
