Author’s Note
I have been a reader of the genre, but I never dared to try it until now. I am of the thought that it’s gratifying to break with habits to experience something fresh and new.
Of course, I won’t stop writing in the fantasy genre, which is one that I enjoy writing, but I have opened a new door and I hope that, this road will be equally as satisfying to me as an author.
The extra story, Dark Desire, that you will final at the end of the book contains more explicit language than, The Dragon Lover. So if this isn’t the type of thing that you like reading, you now know what you are about to read, and can ignore it if you like.
Don’t forget to leave your reviews and criticisms, which I will happily read, and will help me better my work.
I would also like to ask that you give my other books a try. They won’t let you down. For more information check out my FanPage on Facebook:

1. A New Life
The moving boxes were already emptied, torn apart and piled up next to the cream colored wall closest to the door. A young woman stood with her hands on her hips and a smile on her face that highlighted her clear skin. She observed all the hard work that had been done. Some of her curls fell out of a haphazard updo to fall down gracefully around her face and her honey colored eyes shined bright with emotion.
My first home, she thought with pride.
She had found success unexpectedly, the frustrating long years of hard work, had finally paid off. And how, they had paid off. She had more money than she could possibly spend in several lifetimes.
Mira was a new writer that had dedicated herself to her last novel. She had always created stories full of fantasy, adventure, and puritanical romances. Unfortunately, she had never gotten beyond self-publication and having a small group of fans, it was one of her greatest frustrations. But one day she decided to experiment, she woke up before sunrise with an idea in her head. If the readers wanted erotic stories full of sex, then why not try? She started working on a new project with a mix of fear and excitement. Fear due to ignorance and scarce experience, and excitement over the unknown.
She submitted her manuscript to several publishing houses that were known for publishing erotic books and that specialized in the adult books genre. Emphasizing submissions to the smaller houses where she thought she had a higher chance of being published. She received many negative responses and some that outright said that they had not bothered to even read her book and then one day the phone rang and her new editor congratulated her. With a great sense of relief her knees weakened and she sat down while he asked for a face to face interview.
┼
Nervously, she looked at the small office where she found herself seated. The man that she had been speaking to for the last few days received her with a generous hug. He was an older man who had presented his daughter and heir to the family business. Amanda didn’t take long to place a juicy contract on the table. They would use all their funds and contacts to promote her novel something that caused an instant upset stomach in the twenty-six year old Mira. If her book failed, she would cause irreparable damage to the small publishing house, but seeing the confidence that they had in her book pushed her forward. They believed in the future success of her novel and if they believed than it must be true.
Mira had just celebrated having her book published by the small publishing house when the bomb exploded. Amanda had taken the liberty of sending her book to several blogs that had a great deal of influence in the field, before the book came out for sale. The reviewers were incredibly complementary getting the ball rolling. The day the book came out for sale the response was much better than she could have ever hoped for and the books began selling in the thousands. The fame was too much for her, so she decided to use a pseudonym: Mystic M.
In less than a year the rights for the book had been sold worldwide and soon it would be published in the majority of languages. This resulted in a bank account balance replete with zeros that would support her for the rest of her life. Support her and the small publishing house that believed in her, and took a chance on publishing her book.
┼
Amanda had helped her find a home. One that Mira had been determined would be modest, similar to the one she had grown up in. Unfortunately, the publishing house had decided that a more secure and tranquil place would be better, and chose for her a large penthouse apartment with a studio, located in one of the most luxurious buildings in the city. It contained seven floors for 14 apartments and two porters available day or night to the tenants.
┼
It was about to be the one year anniversary of her signing the contract with the publishing house, and she had achieved her dream, now she could call herself a writer. Since it was a not just a job, but a vocation, that she now dedicated herself to full time. Being able to dedicate herself every day to her passion was priceless. There was no worry about making ends meet till the end of the month or having to take other full time jobs instead of writing. Now she was marvelously free.
Okay! The computer tables are situated, notebook, coffee, and informational books… wearing glasses,
she said, watching the enormous desk and laughed knowing that it would soon be disorganized as she was unable to keep everything in order for more than three days.
Just as Mira was about to sit down she gave a little jump when she heard the shrill sound of the doorbell. She ran towards the door and timidly opened it feeling as if her black glasses were sliding off her nose. On the other side of the door she found a blond woman with large blue eyes holding a large tray in her hands.
Hello, neighbor!
The woman shouted with a huge smile. Welcome!
Hello,
Mira said, forced to step back when the woman walked forward trying to invade her apartment. Mira moved aside allowing her to enter.
My name is Hanna and I live on the first floor. Here, a welcome home gift, they are cupcakes.
I’m Mira! It’s a pleasure to meet you. Thanks, but you didn’t have to bother.
"It wasn’t a bother. The truth is I always wanted to see the penthouse apartment,
