Her castle sat upon a steep, high mountaintop over looking the sea. White caps could be seen scattered over the surface of the black waters. Strong gusts of wind moved clouds rapidly across the full moon casting off eerie shadows everywhere.

Roberto felt her. Lying in bed, drifting in and out of deep sleep, his dreams were vivid. They were of her. She was making love to him. Passionate love. Feeling frustrated, he got up. He had enough. Pulling his soft black sweater over his head, he stepped into his jeans and boots leaving hurriedly. He came to her on a whim as he felt her pull. Again. A pull he would never ignore. He felt her being. She had summoned him like she had done in the past, so many times before. Since they were very young. He knew she desired him.

Massive black dogs met Roberto at the castles’ iron gate allowing him entrance. They had him surrounded trotting along side and behind his black Lamborghini. Pulling into the circular drive, he parked his car close to the front door. Turning off the ignition, he sat just for a moment, spacing out, staring ahead. Snapping back into reality when he heard the massive front door slamming shut, then blowing open again from the strong gusts of wind.

Her seven black beasts stood at a stance outside his car patiently waiting for him. An amber glow cast off from the darkness in their eyes. He smiled as they kept a close watch on him, never missing anything. He thought to himself how intimidating they were. Quietly he closed the car door and followed the pack into the castle where their mistress waited.

Gabriella had loved Roberto since they were very young. He was her first love, her only love. She knew from the beginning when they first met in grade school there would be no other for her. He held her heart in the palm of his hand.

Then one spring day, Roberto informed Gabriella he was leaving to seek out adventure and fortune. Gabriella could not stop crying. She could not imagine what her life would be without him. She loved him so. She thought she would die from such sadness. The years passed. No word from Roberto. Gabriella wondered if he had found a new love.
