They were very close to catching him, so Graham screamed. This did not have any positive affect, as werewolves are very used to being screamed at; whether while hunting prey in dark forests or for forgetting to tidy their room.
And so they caught and ate him.
‘You know,’ said the smallest of the pack. ‘This tastes a bit like chicken.’
‘Well he was quite scared,’ the middle one said.
‘I’ve got shoelaces stuck in my teeth,’ a third complained.
It was at this point that some stones rolled passed, covered in moss.
‘Now that is wrong,’ said the middle one; ‘rolling stones shouldn’t gather any moss.’
The youngest paused in eating Graham’s left leg, which he had always felt was the best part of him. The werewolf happened to agree. ‘You know,’ he said, mouth full; ‘maybe they gathered the moss first, then started to roll.’
‘Actually,’ said the largest; ‘it doesn’t make
