About this ebook

Geared toward practitioners of amigurumi, the Japanese art of crocheting stuffed dolls, this is the only how-to book dedicated to dinosaur patterns. Learn how to crochet fourteen adorable prehistoric creatures to cuddle, from familiar species such as Tyrannosaurus rex, Triceratops, and Stegosaurus to Mosasaurus, Edmontosaurus, and other lesser-known but equally lovable varieties.
Each project features complete, well-illustrated instructions, plus full-color photos of the finished model. The patterns are easy to follow and are suitable for crocheters at all skill levels, from novices to experienced hands.

PICKING UP STITCHES IN A HOLE LEFT WHILE WORKING

Sometimes, while working on a pattern, you’ll be leaving holes, where you’ll pick up stitches for some body parts (neck and legs sts). It’ll look, for example, like this (ch4, sk4):

It is important not to work in chain spaces, but in each chain individually (so that the other side is left unworked for making the stitches in sts). Sometimes, you’ll also need to make a stitch in the side of the stitch (in our example, stitches from round x, next to the chsp sts). The arrows show where to make the stitches:

So whenever the pattern calls for working in the side of the stitch, these will be the sts next to the chain space.
