The Fault in Our Stars (TFIOS) is a New York Times bestseller written by John Green.

Dutton Books published TFIOS on January 10th 2012.

The book is 313 pages long.

TFIOS is John Green’s 4th stand-alone novel.

John mentioned that he didn’t want to sentimentalize or romanticize anything in TFIOS.

In January 2013, there were nearly 1 million copies of TFIOS in print.

A Hebrew version of TFIOS was published in Israel in August of 2012.

There will be a multiple language versions of TFIOS, such as German, Spanish, French, etc.

TFIOS is part of the Young Adult Literature genre, but can also be read by adults.

The book's film rights were optioned off to Fox 2000 in January of 2012. The movie comes to theaters in 2014.

John was born August 24, 1977 and grew up primarily in Orlando, Florida. But he also spent some of his childhood in Birmingham, Alabama.

John says that he had a good childhood, that his parents were always very loving and encouraging, and that his brother was always very empathetic and supportive.

John has received the Michael L. Printz Award twice for two of his novels.

John has written book reviews for popular sites such as the New York Times Book Review and Booklist Online. He has written hundreds of reviews, even on popular books like the Hunger Games.

One of John's favorite foods is pizza. He makes reference to it in a lot of his posts.

John began writing his first book, Looking for Alaska, just prior to the 9/11 attacks in 2001, but it wasn't published until nearly 4 years later in 2005.

John Green has written a total of five books: Looking for Alaska, An Abundance of Katherines, Paper Towns,  Will Grayson, Will Grayson, and The Fault in Our Stars. Will Grayson, Will Grayson was co-written by David Levithan.

John used to smoke cigarettes, but quit in 2003.

John currently lives in Indianapolis, Indiana, with his wife Sarah, his daughter Alice, and his son Henry.

John was a double major in college, studying both English and Religion.
