Magnolia, one of the three main characters of 'Love Marathon' tells her experiences in the academic world. This story is a preview of the Third Volume of the Trilogy "Of sun and Moon". After decades of working with migrant youths she has developed a methodology that effectively counter work violence and racism amongst students from different ethnic origin. Her mentor uses her program to ask more than a million Euros as subsidy, pretending the educational model is his.
Will she follow the advise of a professor who is known by her integrity in the Dutch Academic world and denounce her mentor? Will she forgive and move on?
The answers are -partially- in this story and in the Third Volume of the Trilogy.
The story has pictures, audio's and music that depict the difficulties of the main character to face deceit and plagiarism at the university where she is working to obtain her Doctors degree.

Born in Peru, her father was African American, her mother Peruvian. While working at United Nations she met her husband, a Dutch diplomat. She graduated as Psychologist at the Catholic University in Santiago, Chile; pursued MA studies on international politics at Universidad de Chile. She moved to the Netherlands in 1982 and followed PhD studies on Pedagogy at Leiden University. Mother of 4 sons, she has travelled for her work in Latin America and Europe. Currently living in the Netherlands.
