About this ebook

This book tackles the issues that go overlooked in conventional pharmacy schooling. Given that money and finance are a vital, central issue in daily retail pharmacy operation, it's of paramount importance to be able to discuss the subject with ease even within confrontation.

The first 5 chapters concentrates on the technical aspect of billing third party payers in British Columbia.

The following 4 chapters concentrate on the dynamics of discussing money in retail pharmacy. From what to say to the nonverbal communication of how to say it, this is valuable information not only for the workplace but in every aspect of life.

The principles in this book will not only increase productivity and sales but reduce anxiety as the employee learns to navigate the most confrontational subjects with ease.

I wasn't sure about this book and it turned out to be all about pharmacy in some place I've never heard of. That said, there is some brilliant writing about business and front line employees here. Great read!

This book will be a starting point for any new employee working in a Canadian pharmacy. The book is laid out in a hybrid textbook-study guide format. It attempts to be an easy read but ought to be carefully read or some very important info can be overlooked. The author clearly is trying to add style to a very dry subject. In any event, this probably important for pharmacy employees.

Simple to download and easily accessible on multiple devices, An Easy Pill to Swallow: A Guide to Retail Pharmacy and Discussing Money is informative and digestible. This comprehensive guide is straightforward and directs all employees in the pharmacy to operate at their highest potential.

The author does an excellent job connecting business and the pharmacy in a complex grey area of the Canadian medical system. I would recommend this guide to any new pharmacists, struggling pharmacies, and even highly experienced pharmacists to not only refresh but also reflect on their practice.

I'm not sure why I read this, I don't work in this. Not bad though. An interesting look at what happens behind the scenes where I get my prescriptions at the least. These pharmacies clearly have a conflict of interest!
