About this ebook
When a feudal law is invoked requiring all unmarried ladies to wed or surrender half their wealth, the quiet village of Fortune’s Folly becomes England’s greatest Marriage Market.
Young, handsome and scandalously tempting, Dexter suspects duchess Laura has a hidden motive for resisting his charms…and he intends to discover it, by any means necessary.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I got up to page 194 and I couldn't do it anymore. I don’t know why the premise of this sounded appealing to me. I thought maybe it would be humorous, but the book took itself a bit too seriously. The dialogue was pretty cliché. The characters were not likeable at all. They kept lusting after each other so much that I was screaming in my head to “f*ck already and get it over with!!” I don’t know if the author was trying to build sexual tension for the grand finale, but I just found it annoying. There were some plot twists or so it seemed…I can’t really say since it wasn’t enough to keep my interest to continue on with the story.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I have other books by this author. This is the first in atrilogy. I like this character; she is a woman with a past and trying to make a life for herself and her daughter. This is one of my summer reads
