About this ebook

These violent delights have violent ends, And in their triumph die, like fire and powder, Which, as they kiss, CONSUME. – William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet

Tristan Coleman has survived the change from Clann magic user to vampire, much to Savannah Colbert's joy – and despair. By changing the Clann's golden boy and newly elected leader, even to save him from death, she has unleashed a fury of hatred and fear that they cannot escape.

As the Clann and the vampire council go to war, Tristan and Sav face a new threat – a fracturing of the all–consuming bond they share. To fight for peace, they must forge a new trust and risk everything to take down their deadliest enemy, as they run for their lives.

Soon they will learn that some bonds are stronger than love – and some battles cannot be won without sacrifice.

Review from my blog, as are most of my reviews.

This was a lovely and fitting end to this YA paranormal romance. I'm new to the series, having just read books 1 (Crave) and 2 (Covet) in the last couple of days in preparation to read this one, for which I was approved for an e-arc.

I described the first book, Crave, as sweet like chewing on a hard candy: juicy, sweet, at times stuck to your teeth in an annoying fashion, but leaves an all over sweet delicious flavor in your mouth. It focused on Savannah and Tristan more so than on magic and vampire stuff. Covet, dove into the histories more of both The Clann and vampires. You see Savannah and Tristan growing up, becoming more adult in a short period of time, while dealing with all this extraneous crap as if high school isn't difficult enough.

And then there's this book. This was a fantastic ending to a series that was full of heartache, frustration, more heartache, loss, pain, confusion, growing pains, love, denied love, and growing up and understanding that sometimes sacrfice is necessary.

Lovely romance with spot-on challenges complicated by the ability to read other's thoughts and therefore not have a safety barrier. Or perhaps it makes it easier? I try to think if it would be easier to have my sweetheart be able to read my mind, or my friends to be able to read my mind, or my family members...yeah, no. They have no idea how snarky I am in my head. That would be bad. And the complications it can create for Savannah is exactly as expected.

I don't want to give anything away so I will not comment on specifics or characters. I fear the slightest thing I say about a family member or a Clann descendant or a leader or a vampire will totally screw with your ability to read this and enjoy it; and trust me, this series deserves to have you approach it and read it with no expectations other than what you can garner from the blurbs.

This book will be available on August 27, 2013 from Harlequin Teen.

I really enjoyed Bethany Lopez's Friends and Lovers Trilogy, so when I found out she had written another new adult romance, I was anxious to read it. Samantha is in her last year of college. She is also a single mom with a beautiful little 2-year-old daughter that she is raising on her own, because the baby's father wanted nothing to do with her. She hasn't let this make her bitter, but it has made her better, as she is now focused on getting her degree and make life better for her and her daughter. She isn't looking for a relationship and in fact, tries to steer clear from getting involved with guys, then she meets Judd, and things quickly change. When Judd walks into the bar that Samantha is in, with his tattoos, long hair, and killer smile, he notices Sam right away. Judd is also in his senior year of high school, and though he rides a motorcycle and has the whole biker vibe thing going on, he is actually a baseball player, and a very good one. Judd doesn't do relationships, he does hookups. He has never been interested in a relationship with a girl, but with Sam doesn't fall prey to his charms, he is intrigued by her. Despite her best attempts to stay away from Judd, Sam isn't able to, and finds herself falling for him, and he is falling for her, which is completely new to him, but when she finally tells him about Karrie, will he run, or will he stay?Indelible is such a sweet and romantic story, and there isn't a love triangle - yeah!! Both Judd and Sam have gone through some hard things and have hurtful pasts, which have shaped their future. Their relationship can't be a normal one, because there is a 2-year-old involved. Judd turns out to be such an all around great guy, despite his past. There isn't a whole lot of conflict in the story, but they do deal with some things and have to make choices that are best for each of them, as well as Karrie, which are difficult. There is a bit of a twist at the end, which I suspected was coming. Judd and Sam are the kind of characters that you want to see things work out for and I liked both of them. There are a few steamy scenes also. Overall, I found Indelible to be a fun, enjoyable, feel good romance that left me smiling.

My Opinion: Wow!! Just wow!! Since this is one of my favorite series, I was really nervous about reading the final installment: Would it live up to my expectations or would I be left wanting? Alas, I shouldn't have worried - I should have realized that the most awesome Ms. Melissa Darnell would make sure that I was not disappointed since she had not disappointed me yet! Consume was such a satisfying conclusion to The Clann series, answering all of my questions and giving Sav and Tristan the perfect send off.As usual, the pacing of the story was spot on, and the characters, especially Tristan, grew in leaps and bounds. Seriously, Tristan had to deal with so many major issues in Consume that I'm surprised he didn't go completely bat shit crazy by the end of it! Savannah continues to be one of my favorite characters, and I loved how she never lost faith in Tristan or their love, even when they were on opposite sides of an issue. There were a lot of crazy twists and turns to the story, and all of the major players were back, including Sav's friends and family. There's so much I want to say about Consume but I would be giving too much away if I did, so I'm just going to say that I absolutely loved it and will definitely miss these characters whom I have grown to love and look forward to reading about. I'm giving Consume a glowing 5 stars and highly recommend this series to lovers of YA fantasy everywhere :DI received a copy of this book free of charge from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Finally reading the final book in this trilogy, I really enjoyed how it all came together.Plot: This book is full of action and never leaves on bored. There is constant movement with the characters growth, fights between the clans and of course who can forget the drama in relationships. As the reader, you get the full effect of strength, excitement and love, but also you get scared and tired. There is so much going on that your just excited to move on and close that door. It all happens at a good pace where the reader gets a really good connection with the story. Nothing is confusing but mostly just aimed at what is happening right then and there in the story.Love: There are several relationships going on. First is of course Savannah and Tristan. They go through a time of difficultness because of the decisions they make. It’s hard to watch them fight but in the end they work together, finding each other once again. And then the parents. One thing I adore about this book is that Savannah’s parents are very involved. And what do you know, the reader even gets to see the relationship between Savannah’s dad and mom come together. I loved it when they fought but you knew deep down that they loved each other. And they did. There relationships gets mended as well.Ending: In the end, this story pulls together nicely and I can say that I truly love this series. Every moment of growth, every single questions is put to the test, surviving under great circumstances. I like the way it end, leaving the reader with hope and a satisfying ending.Consume covers an impressive range of emotions and growth. It gathers all questions raised giving the reader well executed answers. Admirable writing with great characters, Consume is awesome.
