#6 in the Nocturne line up, and the first with witches. Ariel, the red-headed sister (which will forever make me think of the Little Mermaid) can see the newly dead, if not hear them. A hunt has been called on the women of her family, all witches, and she has to figure out who and why. The whodunnit plot is really pretty good, but the characters are a little shallowly drawn. I didn't get a good sense of David, the hero, and liked Ty, the friend, more than him. Also, despite the fact that there are several sex scenes, they're a little tepid, even for me, and don't feel naturally motivated. Still, it's not a bad start.

As a senior in high school, Darcy Tremayne had been in a car wreck that killed her prom date, Josh. Josh had been her best friend for years. Most avoided him due to his "gift". But Darcy loved Josh like a brother. When Josh died, he passed his gift on to Darcy.
Matt Stone does not believe in ghosts. But too many were convinced his home, a historic Virginia estate that dated back to the Revolutionary War, was haunted. The strange happenings began to worsen. And whatever ghost haunted the Lee Room, had become physically harmful to the living. Matt finally agreed to let Harrison Investigations explore the house. But Darcy was more than he ever expected.

Outstanding! Heather Graham has done an excellent job in creating believable characters and setting them in a spine chilling setting. Do not begin reading this one until you have plenty of free time because you will NOT want to set it aside for even a brief period of time. Highly recommended!

I loved this book. The story takes place in VA in an estate called Melody House. Several visitors and staff have reported that they feel a ghost is residing in the Lee Room. The owner, Matt Stone, does not believe this for one minute yet he calls Harrison Investigations to explore the house. Thinking Adam Harrison will be the person to come, he is surprised when Darcy Tremayne shows up. Darcy is a paranormal investigator and she enjoys her house. Yet, in this house she feels evil for the first time but she won't give up until she solves the mystery of who or what is causing these evil feelings. Good mystery because I had no clue how this would end and was very surprised at the end. I love Heather Graham books and this one is no exception.

Ariel Cooper sees ghosts she has kept the truth from her fiance David, who's powerful and brooding. Twenty years ago she and her sisters were separated to protect them but now the hunt is on again and she has to find her sisters and find out who is hunting them. The more she learns about her past the more secretive he becomes, is he involved with the mysterious people hunting her? It's interesting, the characters aren't bad and there were occasions that my assumptions were proven wrong, overall not bad, I want to read the others in this series.
