I generally enjoy Monroe's novels. though this was as well written as always, I had a hard time connecting with the characters. While I appreciated the heroine standing her ground in certain points, something about her devotion to the hero bothered me. Perhaps because it seemed almost puppy dog-like.

Still, the story moved right along and at no time did I wish to stop reading. Hence the 3 stars.
