About this ebook

The lone witness to her sister's brutal kidnapping, Jillian Sorenson was consumed with guilt and in over her head. Now it seemed the only way to be safely reunited with her sister was to join forces with ex–cop Rick Brady, the lead investigator on a similar cold case, with an old score to settle.

But tracking the treacherous kidnappers' imperceptible clues only intensified Jillian and Rick's supercharged connection. And as their partnership became increasingly personal, coming face–to–face with the dangerous men who had abducted her sister seemed like less of a risk than putting her faith in an all–too–handsome stranger.

Lori L. Harris

Lori Harris has always enjoyed competition. She grew up in southern Ohio, showing Arabian horses and Great Danes. After relocating to Florida years later, she became interested in competitive shooting, traveling as far as Traverse City, Michigan, to compete in the Second Chance Combat Shoot. She would be competing today if she hadn't discovered how much fun it was to write. And how challenging. Romantic suspense seemed a natural fit. "Because what could be more exciting than a life-and-death competition that includes a sexy, strong man?" When not in front of a computer, she enjoys traveling, boating, home remodeling and gardening. Lori lives in Orlando, Florida, with her very own hero and one very spoiled cat.

This grabbed me from the first, sucked me in, and kept me guessing till the end. Can't believe it was in my TBR pile for so long. I got this from our library book sale a while back. A 2007 Harliquin Intrigue that will probably be a timeless book.

This was a GREAT page turner!! I MADE reading time to get through this book. I wanted to know what the kidnapper's motivation was, and Jordan did a great job keeping that nugget from me until very late in the book.

I had a very hard time putting this down. It was a very suspense-filled mystery. The twist on kidnapping--the kidnapper moving in with the victim's family was interesting as was the secondary plotline about the kidnapper's wife. Well done!
