AUTHOR’S PREFACE
In this, my second, book on the making of soft toys, I hope that those of you who have enjoyed using the patterns in Dressed Soft Toys
will find as much pleasure in making-up the new families of animals and the additions to the familiar ones.
To those who have yet to start toy-making, this book aims to be a guide and help to this very fascinating craft which appeals to old and young alike. None of the toys is difficult to make, and particularly suitable for beginners are Mr. Pig, Mr. Bear, Mr. Lamb, and Mr. Monkey, which are all of very simple construction.
INTRODUCTION
The authoress of this book has for many years been occupied with the designing and making of soft toys, and has had much experience in passing on to others the methods she uses, which by their very simplicity must ensure success.
Her first book made an immediate appeal, and many of you will already be familiar with her gaily dressed soft animals, and will be happy to meet the equally delightful new toys which join them in this her second book.
We now meet the husbands of Susan Rabbit, Mrs. Bear, and Mrs. Pig, and we find that there have been additions to their families as well, while Larry Lamb has found himself a charming wife, who is here with their daughter Letty. Entirely fresh arrivals are the Fox and Monkey families,
