Geese in the Garden

Designed by Christine Schultz

Finished quilt size: 14" x 46"

Sometimes you want a challenge. But sometimes you yearn to relax with just some simple patchwork and appliqué: this project has both. The appliqué is done in wool, on a linen background, and then simply embroidered for a bit of embellishment. The scrappy Flying Geese border is made using paper foundation piecing. The runner is simply quilted by machine in outlining and straight lines. All fabrics are in the taupe range, which provides a very soothing and mellow palette.
