Trella’s Desert Solo
When Trella arrived in Phoenix at the end of long flight from Boston, she was surprised to find not a single passenger had caught her eye. Flying with gorgeous pilots was one thing and she often had her choice of them to keep her company on her long stopovers, but this time was different. The crew she flew with were all otherwise involved and staying with people they knew in the area. She was on her own. She didn’t know Phoenix very well and wasn’t looking forward to the time in the hot and dry city on her three-day stop.
The resort limo picked her up at the airport. She had been accustomed to riding in limos as her boss, Charles Stross, owner of VisionAire always had his crew handled in style. Whether it was a limo ride or a stay, Charles could be counted on to book only the best. Keep the crew happy and you’ll always be successful,
was one of his often-stated mantras.
Trella climbed into the limo and immediately appreciated the cool air. Phoenix in May was warm with some of the brightest blue skies she’d ever seen outside of the Caribbean and air that was withering. The interior of the resort limo was luxurious dark leather with a small bar at one side and a smoked-glass partition between her and the driver who wore his cap low and mirrored sunglasses that hid his eyes.
Afternoon, Miss,
