    Integration Synopsis

Integration is regarded as the inverse process of differentiation. This means that the derivative of a function on a procedure called integration gives rise to the original function.

Integration is one type of summation. The word summation begins with the letter 'S' and hence, the symbol for integration is elongated 'S' such as ' ∫ '.

Here, 'c' is called arbitrary constant of integration.

The following is the list of formulae for integrals based directly on the results of differentiation.
