    Immortal Wounds - Loni Lynne

Reviews for Novels by Loni Lynne

    Praise for Wanted: One Ghost

Loni Lynne has truly created an individual and captivating story with One Ghost. Most people identify the genre with vampire and werewolf novels, but Lynne elevates it to something truly paranormal. With lovable, relatable characters and a challenging antagonist, you will be caught up in the world she has created. Not often do I read a book that moves me and inspires me. After One Ghost, you'll want to believe in fate too!—Five Star Review

I have never read a book like Wanted: One Ghost. It is a great mixture between historical fiction, romance, paranormal, and suspense. I'm normally not a historical fiction reader but the blend between history and modern times was perfect. I really loved this book!—Five Star Review

    Stars for Immortal Heat:

I was pleasantly surprised by Immortal Heat. I was not sure what to expect as my novel selections typically do not include mythological creatures. The character development of Marilyn in particular held me captivated! In the beginning she seemed to be helpless, weak, and naive but she grows to be quite a force! My feeling about Draylon was very different, he seemed to be physically strong but cold in relationships with people, but you learn through the book he has a big heart full of love to share. It was a pleasure to read! Great job Loni! —Four Star Review

    Chapter One

    Arlington National Cemetery

The mournful wail of the brass instrument had a way of sucker punching his heart every time he heard it. Taps. The lone bugler. Mike Linder stood at attention saluting. Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day, without question he was here. But today, he was here for a Vietnam Veteran’s funeral. Every time one of the men who’d lived through his hell in Vietnam passed away, he’d tried to be here for them.

Warmth enveloped his white-gloved hand as the final strains of the haunting tune echoed throughout the large cemetery.

Easing his stance, he glanced down at the source of the warmth. The light emanating from the young woman beside him wasn’t the morning sun, she was his morning sun.

Christina Johnston. Her bright, reassuring smile matched the light blue spring dress she wore. She squeezed his hand again. The tender gesture had him flexing his own as he returned his attention to the event around him.

The minister concluded the ceremony, bringing the family of the deceased up to pass their beloved’s casket one last time. Mike didn’t know the man or his family personally, but the kindred spirit of serving in the same war made them brothers in arms.

As the family thanked them for coming, people meandered away to give them their private time. Gentlemen stooped with age, bearing caps from local VFW’s, American Legions and other veteran social groups milled about, talking with each other. Mike wished he could be part of the laughter and stories they shared. These were men of the Vietnam War.

    His war.

Hello son, one of the Vietnam veterans grabbed his shoulder in a friendly gesture. Home on leave?

Nowadays, most thought he belonged to the new group of men serving in the wars in the Middle East. He didn’t deny it. Yes, sir.
