Montague Summers was a prolific writer and public eccentric who harboured a lifelong interest in the occult. His 'real life' investigations, such as Werewolves – Throughout the British Isles, are classic occult texts, notable for their archaic writing style, intimate style of narration, and overtone of belief in the reality of the subjects treated.
